CGCM Podcast EP#38 – B.B.B. Round 2 – Dixon vs. Mifsud (1980)

And then there were “8”! On April 10th, 2018 sixteen Canadian Rock Icons entered into Buzzsaw’s Battle of the Bands Playlist Tournament. The field was randomly selected live on March 14th and each battle pairing was assigned a randomly selected year. Each participant then submitted their 3 song playlist of songs released during their selected year. Both playlists were played on the show and the listener votes determined the eight winners who have advanced to round #2.

Welcome back to the BBB Tournament and welcome everyone to round number 2! Today’s battle pairing sees Carl Dixon (Coney Hatch, April Wine, The Guess Who) VS. Anthony “Mif” Mifsud (Slash Puppet, My Insane Friends) as they battle for the year 1980!

Each participant has locked in their playlists and when you listen, you will have no idea whose playlist belongs to Carl and whose playlist belongs to Mif! It’s a blind vote to determine who will advance to round #3.
