Hot on the heels of a very successful Call Of The Wild (COTW 2023) comes the first announcements and ticket sales for 2024! Actually, it began as a festival special during the 2023 edition with early bird pricing! And Team CGCM (Rich “The Meister” Dillon, Tom Cornell and Ian “Roadie” Owen) are all set to return! This year was another fantastic event, well organized by folks who really care! Watch for all our coverage starting to appear on www.cgcmrockradio.com. There will be blogs written by all three of us, interviews and of course photo galleries!
But on to 2024! The initial bands revealed lead me personally to believe that another banger lineup is in store for us. Topping the list for me (Rich “The Meister” Dillon) personally is Sweden’s Confess. I’ve seen this band now twice and they hit hard with an energy and punch that defies the mind. Fantastic Swedish Sleaze, very toe-tapping and head bobbing friendly.
Another promising band on my radar is She Burns Red who literally tore things up on the COTW stage in 2022. They also did a song with Kickin Valentina that year and had a great time together. This really embodies the fun, family feeling of COTW! I also had the opportunity to meet and chat briefly with She Burns Red frontman James McColloch over the weekend of COTW 2023. She Burns Red is a hot new band, do yourself a favour and check them out!
Also announced are: Tom Killner (who did a great blues rock set at COTW 2022), Haxan (a great metal band I’ve followed for a while) and White Raven Down (who I’ve seen at other UK events). These will all go down well, excited to see Haxan for the first time!
Two others I’m not familiar with are Bad Touch and Sam Millar & The Sass Bandits. All in all a good crop for the first announcement! With many more to come, grab your tickets at the links below!
