Hello CGCM Rock Radio listeners and readers! Welcome to Beaver Buzz, a regular segment written by contributor Dave Wilks showcasing some newly released (or recently added) singles to the CGCM Rock Radio rotation. While listening to our station, you’ll hear our mascot Buzzsaw Beaver come on at the top of the hour with a new single to spin. We all at CGCM believe it’s important to feature new music. CGCM Rock Radio New Singles – September 8, 2021
(BEAVER BUZZ)
Buzzsaw and I benefited from some extra collaboration from my buddy Matt with this edition of the Beaver Buzz. We cranked up several of these tunes on a road trip to Rocklahoma. Matt’s taste is impeccable and his favorite was “The Bidding” by Firstborne. We’ve also scored some great new music by vets Tesla and L.A. Guns.
The Bidding – Firstborne
Firstborne is the gift that keeps on giving. With Chris Adler, James Lomenzo, and Myrone making up the US contingent, and Girish Pradhan from India, this band delivers the goods.

Bring Out Your Dead – Lesbian Bed Death
This high-energy blast should find its way on every Halloween playlist this year. It’s an absolute gem!

Catch Me If You Can – Hardcore Superstar
Hardcore Superstar follows up their 2018 beast of an album with “Catch Me If You Can“. It’s a worthy successor with huge riffs, a killer solo, and an anthemic chorus.

Horsewhip – The Age of Truth
Buzzsaw spun this on once and instantly loved it. “Horsewhip” is energetic metal from Philly, rooted in an old-school sound.

Easy – Steve Whiteman
If you dig Steve Whiteman as the frontman for Kix, you’ll love him just as much solo. “Easy” is easy to listen to.
Knock Me Down – L.A. Guns
Lots of DJs at CGCM headquarters are loving the latest from L.A. Guns. Listen to a few shows on the station, and I bet it’ll make an appearance.

Hot Wired – Kryptos
They may have postponed their European tour until 2022, but the guys from Bengaluru released another track off their upcoming Force of Danger.

Cold Blue Steel – Tesla
“Cold Blue Steel” is instantly recognizable as a Tesla song, which sounds as good as any of their classics.

Selling Me Shit – Sami Yaffa
When your resume includes New York Dolls, Michael Monroe, and Hanoi Rocks, you can do whatever the hell you want. “Selling Me Shit” is an ode to those bands and others like The Clash.

Last Goodbye – Wicked Smile
Wicked Smile has been trickling out singles all year in advance of the September 24th release of their debut full-length album, Wait for the Night. All of the Australian’s singles have been awesome, and “Last Goodbye” is no different.
