VISIONS OF ATLANTIS

Visions  Of Atlantis Current Line Up: Clémentine Delauney (female vocals), Christian Douscha (guitars), Michele Guaitoli (male vocals), Raphael Saini (drums), Babis Nikou (bass, male vocals).

Visions Of Atlantis is a band created from the myth of Atlantis and the metal band Nightwish. Visions Of Atlantis is an Austrian metal band created in 2000. The band has had numerous line-up changes throughout its career and has catalogued 8 album releases with the 9th due in 2024.

Visions Of Atlantis are a vision of pirates while playing metal and wanting to have a party while doing it. The band downed what appeared to be ale while playing for the Starlite Room crowd. Visions Of Atlantis are a band that hits you upside the head with both male and female vocals that are truly amazing, followed by the roaring guitars and backbeat of the drums and bass that accompany every track. The band seemed to be firing on all cylinders and pulling the crowd onto that pirate ship of rock n roll that Visions Of Atlantis fit into the small club atmosphere. This crew of scurvy dogs was there to bring a rock n roll show and that’s what they did. They made the crowd thirsty with the hard rock they were delivering as well as getting the crowd at one point of the night to row that giant ship of rock n roll fans across the imaginary ocean to the next track in the catalogue to pillage and plunder.

Visions Of Atlantis make the pirate music/theme work with the rock/metal music and the crowd was enjoying it and digging in and plundering along with the band and pouring the ale or rum like there was no end in sight. Visions Of Atlantis works the stage like true professionals and engages the crowd to become pirates for the brief night of festivities. Visions Of Atlantis tore through their catalogue of songs like a hungry band of pirates looking for the next place to pillage and plunder.

KORPIKLAANI

Korpiklaani‘s current lineup is as follows: Jonne Järvelä (vocals, guitar), KalleCaneSavijärvi (guitar), Jarkko Aaltonen (bass), Sami Perttula (accordion), Samuli Mikkonen (drums), Olli Vänskä (violin). Korpiklaani is a Finnish folk metal band. Korpiklaani is Finnish for “The Backwoods Clan”. Korpiklaani is from Lahti formerly known as Shamaani Duo.

Korpiklaani brought the stage set up that made you feel like you were in the backwoods of some remote little place, with plants and a white picket fence. Korpiklaani swings between singing in their native tongue and singing in English. Korpiklaani brings a show that makes you feel like you could be around a campfire with relatives having a good old family reunion. Korpiklaani played hits from their catalogue that started in 2003 to their most recent release in 2024. Korpiklaani brought the backyard party to the Starlite Room it seemed to be more like family rather than fans of a rock band.  Throughout the set, fans were dancing/moshing to the tracks the bands threw out. At points of the night, you saw fans surfing to the front of the stage, dancing and having a good old time at the rock n roll show. At one point of the night I did see where a fan was in trouble and caught in the ever-growing mosh pit, but like a family would one member of the crowd took care of her and removed her from the danger of the relentless moshing that grew in size throughout the night.

Overall though the crowd was pretty good and well behaved and took care of each other. The crowd was there for some folk/rock/metal show and that’s what they received.
