If you’re a listener to CGCM Rock Radio‘s Meister Music Live with host Rich “The Meister” Dillon, you already know all about Seasons Of The Wolf. Band leader and guitarist Barry “Skully” Waddell is a regular weekly listener. Songs from the band’s past are often featured. Skully listens to the show since Meister reviewed SOTW‘s Last Act Of Defiance album. That was back in 2018 when he was with Decibel Geek. Now a new Seasons Of The Wolf album is on the horizon again brought to us by Iron Shield Records.

SEASONS OF THE WOLF, founded in Florida in the year 1988, have long made themselves a name among Metal Underground connoisseurs. Between 1996 and today the band released five world-class albums of distinct progressive charm, the high-pitched vocals which more than once remind one of former Metal Church siren David Wayne. Comparisons to older works of Savatage would also be legitimate. Two of those five albums (Seasons Of The Wolf and Lost In Hell) have since been released as LP and double LP.

This somewhat gloomy and eccentric and really outstanding US Metal filled with atmospheric
keyboard layers and a keen sense for evoking emotional melodies has been a band trademark from
the very beginning. Also, their late 80s/early 90s recordings, previously only available on cassette,
can be heard for the first time (remastered from the original old tape recordings) in 2014 on a Double- CD! 2018 they return with Last Act Of Defiance.
