Treks Manically (if that IS her real name) is CGCM Radio/Podcast‘s social media superstar. When she is not trekking maniacally in her snowshoes through the harsh Canadian tundra in search of eggs, she handles a good portion of CGCM‘s posting on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and MySpace. Well, not so much that last one.
Treks grew up around music. Her dad totally sang “Beth” by KISS to her at night, so she started young. She never stopped listening to music, and hard rock, metal, and alternative were always on the menu. Treks isn’t exactly fond of human interaction, so she ALWAYS has her earbuds in and the music flowing. Why she’s doing SOCIAL MEDIA of all things is anyone’s guess.
Treks discovered CGCM Rock Radio by chance via a Facebook ad. WIN YOUR WAY TO SEE Iron Maiden! Treks and her husband (CGCM‘s own Ryan Mac) put in many an entry and somehow managed to win (sorry, Darcy). Through this, Treks and Ryan met Eric in Ottawa and saw the show (which was AWESOME). Treks eventually started listening to Meister Music Live To Air Shows with Rich “The Meister” Dillon and soon became The Meister‘s nemesis in the live chat. Treks offered to help CGCM with their social media presence, and the rest is history.
