WIG WAM – OUT OF THE DARK

DO YOU WANT TO TASTE IT AGAIN?

WIG WAM IS BACK, BABY!!!

OUT OF THE DARK!!!

Wig Wam rises Out of the Dark to bring you one hell of a great album.

Out of the Dark is so damn good, I can’t get enough of it.

The Norwegian rockers did not waste any time getting back to work and delivered yet again a great album! From the self-titled track “Out of the Dark“, The riffs hook you in instantly. “Glam”  (aka: Age Sten Nilsen)’s incredible voice burst through your speakers and into your ears. Trond (“Teeny“) Holter‘s amazing riffs simply grab your attention. Bernt Jansen known as “Flash” has the rhythm going with his bass along with the man behind the drums Øystein Andersen (“Sporty“). These boys know what they’re doing, with a unique sound I would call “Glam-style Hard Rock“. They are truly a band that I love and are easy to love by anyone who gives them a chance.  The album sounds great, the sound is perfectly produced at Frontiers Music S.r.l.

Wig Wam was almost on its way out when their manager dropped them. But thanks to James Gun for putting the song “Do You Wanna Taste It” as the title song of the TV series Peacemaker, Wig Wam was re-born in a sense. And thank God this happened! I became a fan after I heard the song “Kilimanjaro“. That song piqued my interest and after hearing the album Never Say Die, I was an instant fan. I believe they were number 3 in my top 10 of 2021 albums of the year, (I can’t remember, shhh). Anyhow because of the pandemic the band’s plan to come over to the North American shore never happened. As of now, I believe they still have issues with their visas to come over. I really hope they resolve the issue and come this way to entertain us.

The songs on Out of the Dark are:

  1. Out of the Dark
  2. High and Dry
  3. Forevermore
  4. Bad Luck Chuck
  5. Uppercut Shazam
  6. Ghosting You
  7. The Purpose
  8. The American Dream
  9. 79
  10. God by your Side
  11. Sailor and the Desert Sun

I have to say every song on the album is solid but for me, the one that stands out for me the most is the 4th track  “Bad Luck Chuck“. I was at the gym and that song came on and I just got so pumped up that I replayed it 3 times. Afterward, I walked around the gym to my Hard Rock metal listeners and introduced the song to them. The reception was very positive.

Out of the Dark surpasses Never Say Die (which is also an excellent album). Maybe the boost from having a song on a popular tv series helped them in more ways than one.

Thanks for reading my article I really apricate the people who support my cause and my beliefs in promoting Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. There are too many promotions for pop and hip hop out there and Metal is being ignored. We need those big wigs out there to wake up and put the word out there Hard Rock and Heavy Metal is out there. Let it grow, let it invade the world!!!

Dr. Tardis Out!
