TIME TO ROCK 2024 – Anticipation #3

Welcome to my second blog, basically my general ramblings, regarding the Time To Rock Festival in Knislinge, Sweden. If you’ve been following along, I hope you are picking up on my excitement and anticipation of Time To Rock Festival 2024. As mentioned in the previous blogs, this will be my second consecutive attendance here. In 2023 the band roster was simply mindblowing and that really helped to put this event on my (as well as others’) radar. Let’s now take a quick buzz through the lineup for 2024. Many folks look to the headliners or bigger bands when viewing festival posters. Not me. I’m an oddity perhaps, but I look to the mid-to-lower range bands in most cases. Those are the ones I want to see. Usually, the ones I won’t see in Canada at some point.

Now that said, I am of course really looking forward to Pretty Maids back on stage. It’s been a few years, but the boys are back and one of my favourite bands! Also, I love Doro. She’s actually my wife…..she just doesn’t know it, so someone please tell her to come home….lol. Hardcore Superstar and Michael Monroe, naturally are awesome to watch absolutely anytime, no matter how much I’ve seen them.

Bands like 69 Eyes, who I’ve never seen. Geordie, the original band of AC/DC‘s Brian Johnson (though I doubt he’s with them currently). Another one is Steelwings. They have two decent albums and where am I ever going to see them again? And Frontiers recording artist Vypera who have a great album out. How about Bow Wow all the way from Japan? And many others that I don’t know, but may well become my new fave! This is what helps make Time To Rock so cool. The unique bands that don’t play every other damn festival across Europe or tour in Canada etc.

My worldwide family of friends are also a major attraction and after I returned such high praise on 2023’s event, there are significantly more attending this year.

So, I’m ready, I’m pumped, bring on Time To Rock 2024.
