🤘New release from: THE STORYTELLER – The Final Stand (April 25, 2025)🤘
Swedish power metal force The Storyteller returns with their long-awaited seventh full-length album, The Final Stand, set for release on 25 April 2025 via The Circle Music. The album will be available in digital formats, black vinyl, transparent blue vinyl, and jewel case CD. After a period of dormancy, the band has resurfaced with renewed vigour, capturing the very essence of their original vision.
The Final Stand is the result of a powerful collaboration between vocalist L-G Persson and Cedrick Forsberg (Blazon Stone). Forsberg reached out to Persson, sparking a creative partnership that reignited The Storyteller‘s flame. “This is the production that managed to bind together all the elements that make The Storyteller unique,” comments Persson. “In this production, the music reflects the vision, and the lyrics bind together the storytelling theme. For the first time, it feels that everything is in place.”
The album finds a perfect home with Greek label The Circle Music, marking the beginning of a promising collaboration.
Formed in 1998, The Storyteller quickly established themselves as a force in the power metal genre. Their debut album, released in 2000, was recorded in the legendary Studio Fredman. Over the course of five subsequent albums, the band has honed their signature sound: power metal infused with medieval melodies and fantasy-driven lyrics. Known for their storytelling, The Storyteller takes listeners on epic journeys through both music and lyrics. Their history includes tours alongside heavy metal giants such as Helloween, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, and Bruce Kulick (ex-Kiss).
The album’s first single, “They Will Fear Our Battlecry“, a powerful anthem of defiance, paints a vivid picture of a final battle. A desolate battlefield, teeming with monstrous hordes on one side and a valiant alliance on the other, sets the stage for an epic clash. The single captures the clan leader’s inspiring speech to his troops, a rallying cry against the forces of darkness.
The Final Stand promises to be a landmark album in The Storyteller‘s career, a testament to their enduring power and their unwavering commitment to their craft.
