CGCM Rock Radio New Singles – July 7, 2021
(BEAVER BUZZ)
Hey, all the metalheads out there! We’ve got some awesome new additions to the CGCM vault, like Kryptos leading the pack with “Force of Danger” and the debut from The Hot Damn! Ivan turned the whole station on to Shades of Gray, while new Rough Cutt practically dropped from the sky. The Wildhearts just keep churning out great tracks, while Unto Others will resonate with a more goth ear.
Force Of Danger – Kryptos
Metal. Straight-up metal. I love it! India is a hotbed right now, and Kryptos is flying the traditional metal flag. To me, this one is a bit of a punk-sounding Accept track. Great vocals, shredding guitars, it’s absolutely worth a spin.

California – Shades of Gray
Ivan’s thumbs-up review really nails Shades of Gray, and he deserves a big thank you. “California” is a power-pop gem that embodies that easy California feel. Myke Gray fully embraces the DYI ethic on this album. Buy directly from the artist; Ivan and I agree you won’t regret it.

Good Girls – Smoking Martha
The band from Brisbane serves up pure, all-natural rock and roll. A little power pop, a little punk, whatever it is Smoking Martha rocks. “Good Girls” is a ferocious 2:30, and well worth your time.

Remember These Days- The Wildhearts
The Wildhearts are a treasure and “Remember These Days” is the latest example of why: a little punk and a little rock with a really cool harmony section in the middle.

Prowler – Rough Cutt
Off the surprise release III, “Prowler” is an updated version of the song previously only available on an out-of-print live release. It’s a great, thoroughly modern-sounding song with inspired vocals and a smooth bass groove.

Dopamine – Electric Guitars
A high-energy treat pairing perfectly with anything you might enjoy to increase your dopamine levels (hang gliding, parasailing, big wave surfing, or arguing politics).
When Will God’s Work Be Done – Unto Others
Out of the Pacific Northwest, Unto Others unleash a dark, gothic metal track in “When Will God’s Work Be Done“.
