Hello CGCM Rock Radio listeners and readers! Welcome to Beaver Buzz, a regular segment written by contributor Dave Wilks showcasing some newly released (or recently added) singles to the CGCM Rock Radio rotation. While listening to our station, you’ll hear our mascot Buzzsaw Beaver come on at the top of the hour with a new single to spin. We all at CGCM believe it’s important to feature new music. CGCM Rock Radio New Singles – December 15, 2021
For the last drop before Christmas, we’ve got a world tour of rock and metal. From Spain, India, Denmark, Canada, Sweden, the USA, the UK, Germany, and Hungary, hard and heavy rock and roll is alive and kicking.
Turned My Life Around – Stop Stop
The latest single from Spain’s Stop, Stop “Turned My Life Around” is a surprisingly earnest song with, once again, a great video. You’ll still find plenty of glimmers of their signature smirk, but it’s another reason to pick up their fantastic Lowcost Life, one of 2021’s best. Can’t wait to see them on the Monsters of Rock Cruise.
Primeval Desire – Girish & the Chronicles
With the second single off their upcoming release Hail to the Heroes, GATC pumps out another instant classic.
Shotgun Blues – Volbeat
Volbeat‘s new album Servant of the Mind is a monster, and “Shotgun Blues” fits right in.
Diamond in the Rough – Late Night Trouble
Great tracks get better with every listen and “Doamond in the Rough” is a perfect example. Fuzzy guitars, and a bluesy approach from the band out of Montreal produce a real gem.
Hammer Of Dawn – HammerFall
The Hammer of the Dawn album drops in February, and from the sounds of the first single, “Hammer of Dawn“, the Swedish metal masters are on the right track.
Under The Florida Sun – Higher Ground
Out of Jacksonville, Florida, Higher Ground‘s latest single “Under the Florida Sun” drips with bluesy rock and roll. It’s brooding and catchy. If you like it, check out the Don’t Kill the Vibe Facebook group for more indie rock and metal.
Wasted – Gelatin Skelatin
Gelatin Skelatin embody the sound of old-school metal. The cover of Def Leppard‘s “Wasted” by the Ottawa band nails it, while adding a nice metal sheen.
I Didn’t Like You Anyway – The Hot Damn!
The latest from The Hot Damn! is a catchy pop-rock track, right on brand for these ladies from the UK.
Casual Encounters – The Almas
Found thanks to the Don’t Kill the Vibe Facebook group, The Almas call New Munster, Wisconsin home and they make infectious hard rock.
Diamonds & Pearls – Running Wild
Running Wild brings the thunder on “Diamonds & Pearls“. It’s German metal at its finest, with a heavy helping of Accept influence.
Ballad of Flesh & Blood – Bad Butler
The second helping of German metal in this edition of Beaver Buzz comes from Bad Butler. “Ballad of Flesh & Blood” is no ballad. It’s crushing metal.
Sor, Bor, Vodka, Rock ’N’ Roll (Beer, Wine, Vodka, Rock ’N’ Roll) – Pepe/Papa
When a request to play your song is signed “Hail Beer” you’re likely in for a drinking song. Pepe/Papa from Hungary absolutely nails it, even though I don’t understand a word they’re saying.
