John 5 brings The Strung Out Tour to the Starlite Room in Edmonton, AB on Sept 17th,2024. The last time John 5 was in Edmonton as a solo artist was back in 2019 for the Invasion Tour again at the Starlite Room.
John 5 has had a solo career, along with being a guitarist for Katie Lang, Rob Zombie and the last place to hang up his guitar strap is with Motley Crue as he has replaced Mick Mars who has retired from touring with Motley Crue.
John 5’s solo career started as early as 2004 with the release of Vertigo to his most current release of Sinner in 2021. John 5 has stayed constantly busy touring off solo releases, working as a studio musician for other artists, or on tour with most currently Motley Crue.
John 5 wanders through his selected tracks that have been crowd favourites and show off his amazing skills. John 5 whether it’s a stadium-sized stage or a club-size stage he walks it and gets the crowd eating out of his hand. John 5 has made an amazing reputation for being a fan favourite by playing guitar impeccably to a mandolin or a banjo. John 5 has learned to keep that fan interaction going on through any size of venue. John 5 tonight covered tracks from his most popular solo album releases to doing covers from the likes of Nirvana, Queen, or Morgan Lewis. John 5 stage production was a backdrop hanging above the stage along with 4 stage-sized video screens playing videos from past releases he has released to flash pots spraying sparks upward into the club this evening.
John 5 makes guitar playing seem easy and tonight was no different as he kicked into high gear with his tracks showing of his shredding skills or slowing it down for a little ballad-type song. What you always will get from John 5 show is a little good ol’ hoe-down fun with him playing everything in his arsenal. Tonight was no different he was there to show why he has and is playing with some of the biggest names in Rock N roll history. He did excite the crowd with the fact that they were being recorded for a live album which will be coming out from this tour.
