Chicago’s Disturbed is one of the biggest US metal bands of the new millennium. Of their seven studio albums since the year 2000, five went straight to #1 on Billboard. Although often labeled “alternative metal”, Disturbed consider themselves part of a tradition with the likes of Black Sabbath, Metallica, Queensrÿche and Pantera – aggressive, compact metal with the powerful vocals of David Draiman. After five albums chock full of hits like “Prayer”, “Stricken” and “Inside the Fire”, Disturbed went on hiatus, but to the delight of many they returned in 2015 with the album Immortalized, followed by Evolution in 2018.
