David Lee Roth, who has the charisma of a superhero, hit the stage at the River Cree Casino on July 10th in Enoch, Alberta, Canada. Along with him, he brought his amazing band, who are just as charismatic as Dave himself. They set the night ablaze with an almost 2-hour set list.
David Lee Roth, who has been silent for many years, has come back out on tour for the second leg of his tour. It hit Western Canada and back into the United States. And he made the night amazing by focusing on a couple of cover tunes, but the rest was from the Van Halen catalogue.
Many people do not like the fact that David Lee Roth has gotten older and doesn’t sound like he did when he was a mere 20 years old. Well, unfortunately, all our heroes are getting older or they are passing away. David Lee Roth came out with the swagger he has always had, and a grin from ear to ear. He played the Van Halen tunes with backup singers, which sounded great, and he danced and strolled across the stage as if he was playing to 20,000 people.
The fans that came out to see David Lee Roth play were treated to stories from yesteryear and to some heartfelt stories of him and Eddie Van Halen when they were first starting out. Roth came out and danced the night away and even did the limbo a couple times; he showed the fact that at 73 years old he is still a sexual deviant and loves women. And he even treated the crowd to him swinging the mic stand around like the sword he used to in the early days.
David Lee Roth has always been a legend and will always be a legend, from headlining shows with Van Halen across the world to playing clubs and not having a care in the world how big the crowd is. He is out there to have fun and bring the Van Halen tunes back to the fans so they can have fun listening and singing along. VH Forever!!
