Crazy Lixx from Malmö, Sweden is back with their new album! Some famous artist proclaimed that rock n’ roll is dead but I am not sure about that. This album rocks hard for me. Their last proper studio album (Street Lethal) was released in 2021 even if we got a compilation last year with some new songs on it.
“Highway Hurricane” – kickstarts the album and is a raunchy rocker with big hooks and a great chorus and it has a real 80s LA feel to it but with a modern edge. Who Said Rock N’ Roll is Dead – the song to say it’s not! The great melodic hard rock/glam rock is alive and well and just listen to this awesome song.
“Little Miss Dangerous” – has been released as a “single” before the album and again has a great chorus with great choirs. “Call Of The Wild” – is a fast and furious song with a great guitar solo. This shows that they can rock really hard too.
“Recipe For Revolution” – has a great groove with cool choirs and a great chorus not unlike a mid-tempo Skid Row song. “Run Run Wild” – has more of a Cinderella bluesy feel over it and has a cool chorus. Another great guitar solo on this song.
“Midnight Rebels” – this is a pure Crazy Lixx party anthem like we are used to hearing from them. “Hunt For Danger” – the second “single” from the album which is a melodic beauty with a great chorus.
“Final Warning” – brings up the tempo again but maybe this is my least favourite song on the album. Cool riffs, though.
Last song is “Stick It Out” – that has a cowbell in the beginning and a song with cowbells can’t go wrong. Massive choirs on this one and it rocks well.
If you are a fan of Crazy Lixx before you will not be disappointed because this album has really good songs and it sounds great. The musicianship is flawless and you will definitely have a good time while listening to it. If you have the chance to see them live, then go because they are a fun and entertaining live band.
