APOCALYPTICA Plays Metallica Vol. 2 Tour

Nita has had her solo band every chance she can get to promote her solo efforts The Call Of The Void and Controlled Chaos. Nita Strauss started out with the cover band The Iron Maidens and went on to play in the band Femme Fatale. Nita has been on the road touring with the likes of Alice Cooper and Demi Lovato. She toured with the Alice Cooper touring band and then went on to tour with Demi Lovato and has now returned to the Alice Cooper camp to tour with the “Father Of Shock Rock” again. Nita replaced Orithani who was touring with Alice Cooper. Nita has created a solo band that has taken the world by storm. Her solo band consists of Katt Scarlett-Keyboards, Josh Villalta-Drums, Johnny D Young-Rhythm Guitar, and Kasey Karlsen-Vocals
Nita Strauss’s band opened the show with a short 45-minute set and set the place into a frenzy hitting the crowd with the first 6 songs being from her debut album and finishing out the set with 4 songs from her latest album. The last album was a mix of instrumental tracks mixed with guest vocals on other tracks. Kasy Karlsen has been brought on tour with her amazing vocal capabilities to sing on the tracks where vocals are needed.
Apocalyptica
Apocalyptica is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1993. Apocalyptica band members include: Eicca Toppinen – lead Cello, Paavo Lötjönen – Rhythm/Bass Cello, and Perttu Kivilaakso – Lead Cello. Apocalyptica is on the North American Tour 2025 which finally has made its way to Calgary, AB at Grey Eagle Casino. The tour is promoting Apocalyptica’s latest release Plays Metallica Vol. 2.
Apocalyptica has been playing at theatres and casinos on this tour and from what has been revealed is that if it’s not sold out it is close to selling out and Calgary’s Grey Eagle Casino was no different. The nearly sold-out casino was there in masses to see Apocalyptica play Metallica hits the only way they know how to. Which excites the crowd as they bounce across the stage playing their cellos or front and center beating on the bass cello. If you have never seen Apocalyptica play their cello it is a sight that has to be seen. The band brings the greatest hits of Metallica from the past to the St. Anger release. Apolcalyptica has stated they are huge fans of Metallica and they will play whatever they want.
Apocalyptica had the crowd on their feet throughout their set and kept their foot on the petal all night long. They played hit after hit all night long and brought their own style to the Metallica tracks as only they could. The Calgary crowd ate it up and was wanting more all night long. The band ended the night with introductions for all members and also reaffirmed to the Calgary, AB crowd that they would be back again!
